#sayhisname is the name of the documentary I shot, about how hard it is for a child or woman to get the courage to simply say his name.
The level of terror involved in simply disclosing the identity of of their rapist is unimaginable, but you've been there.
This is what is happening with the Epstein files right now!
Trump is on the list. Trump and the other child sex offenders want their names protected. And they know that they're victims are frozen in that moment to disclose their names.
It can take decades for them to build the support system they need and get the courage to report. If they do get the courage to report, they rarely get Justice.
They get slut-shamed and victim blamed. Somehow it was her fault, or she's just lying. THIS IS RAPE CULTURE.
I want sexual assault to be treated, in the same way murder is treated by the law.
Sexual assault is so common that it's not a big deal for hundreds of rape kits to sit on the shelves in any given police station, for decades.
It's absurd to me when people are outraged about rampant sexual abuse in the military or religious organizations or boarding schools.
It's amazing to me that they don't know that sexual abuse is not just in those organizations.
It's everywhere.
All the time.
Do dozens of girls and women have to be sexually assaulted by the same man or organization, for people to be outraged?
This is the moment!
