NAME YOUR RAPIST

One of your fears might be the threat of a slander/liable lawsuit. Here's what Jane has to say about that...

(scroll down)

IT'S NOT SLANDER IF IT'S TRUE

If you’re like me, your S.O.L. (Shit Outta Luck) and your Statute of Limitations has already run out. When I began publishing the story of my rape, I was threatened. They said if I didn't shut my mouth, I would be sued for slander.

I say, bring it on.

I was unable to find my rapist for decades. I was spelling his last name slightly wrong. Because my Statute of Limitations had run out years prior, I was robbed of the opportunity to bring charges. The only way I could have my day in court was if I was charged with slander or liable.

I'm saying I don't have a navy dress with dried semen on it either. E . Jean Carroll successfully won $83.3 million for slander/liable suits against DJT for slandering and calling her  . We should find encourgament in that. Let's recognize and exhalt Carroll as the trailblazer she was. Let's inherit her indominable spirit and speak our truth, letting the cards fall where they may.

Please feel free to dump the posion he put into you by telling your story. If you so choose, go ahead and publish his name.

We want you to know that the more legal way to disclose his name and identify him as your rapist is to say, "BLANK sexually assaulted/raped/abused me" rather than "BLANK is a rapist".

I know this might be scary for you. Or maybe it's not scary, it's just that it never even occured to you to publish the name of your abuser. But know that you are not alone. Also please know that I will help you report if you do not have a "Battle Buddy."

When you Report, what happens? What is a Battle Buddy? You can check with your police station if they have an advocate.

Advocates do not work for the police, even though they might have an office right inside your local police station.

An advocate is there to support you in reporting. The advocate at the police station is there to support the victims.

MORE OFTEN THAN NOT, YOU'RE TOLD YOUR STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS HAS RUN OUT

And there is slut-shaming and victim blaming. Such as, the police officer taking the report asking you what you were wearing. (Do you think he’ll ask you what your rapist was wearing?) F*ck no. I could scream.

Meanwhile THE SEXUAL PREDATOR, THE RAPIST, THE PEDOPHILE ALMOST ALWAYS GETS AWAY.
